Enter the Man Cave…San Carlos Style

Stairs leading to man cave

When a postcard for an Open House arrives advertising a “gem of a home” with a basement “man cave,” there’s really only one option (if you’re the Laurel Street Spy).  You go.

What would a man cave in San Carlos look like?  Would it be covered in Giants posters?  Would there be a lamp with a fake Brian Lewis beard thrown over it as a shade?  Maybe a high tech refuge with a custom, cooler full of craft beers with names like Three Floyds Dark Lord Russian Imperial Stout?

Nope.  This basement may have been a legit man cave before the Open House sign went up at 309 Emerald Avenue in the White Oaks neighborhood (3/2, 1630 sq. ft. listed at $968,000), but this man cave had all the signs of serious staging:  freshly painted walls, unstained, non-nasty carpeting, free of clutter and man junk.  Meaning the space had been transformed into a perfectly respectable, sunny family room or, maybe, a metrosexual man cave.

If you must see the rest of the house attached to the man cave/family room, you can take a virtual tour by clicking here.

The house is offered by Hometown Realty, a Janet Pepe Davis Agency.
