PG&E’s Latest on What to Expect Wednesday

PG&E has sent out several updates about natural gas venting and pipeline testing scheduled for San Carlos. In case you’re not set up to receive e-notify alerts from the City, here’s the latest:

PG&E is performing a hydrostatic pressure test on a section of natural gas pipeline in San Carlos.  The section of pipeline to be tested is being temporarily removed from service and will be safely vented of all natural gas.

The timing for work on Wednesday, September 28th has been changed as follows in this update from PG&E:
Date:  Wednesday, 9/28/11
Approximate Time:  10:00 a.m.
Work Location:  Edgewood Road and Highway 280
Work to be completed:  Releasing of natural gas to the atmosphere.

Date:  Wednesday, 9/28/11
Approximate Time:  7:00 a.m. to midnight
Work Location:  Edgewood Road and Highway 280
Work to be completed:  Air movers (compressors) will be used to push out the remaining natural gas from the lines.
