Christmas Stuff To Do in San Carlos

Friday, December 2nd: The Second Annual Night of Holiday Lights presented by SC Parks & Rec Dept. and The Chamber of Commerce.

5pm-8pm on Laurel Street between San Carlos Ave. & Arroyo;

6:30: Tree Lighting at intersection of Laurel & Cherry

Mayor Andy Klein will be on hand to light the street and “encourage everyone to enjoy the downtown for the evening and holiday season.”

Hint hint from the Chamber: shop local! Stores will stay open to make that possible.

For the kids: a bit of snow, train rides and crafts. Holiday performance by Big City Revue.

Saturday, December 3rd:  San Carlos Community Toy Drive

10am-2pm in front of Bianchini’s Market

The lousy economy has taken its toll on families in the county. You can help by donating gifts of unwrapped toys, games and books. Cash donations will also be accepted.

For the past 16 years the SC Kiwanis Club sponsored the event on its own. This year, the San Carlos Police Bureau and the San Carlos Fire Dept. joins in.

Donations will be collected by firefighters and police officers. Bring the kids! Police and fire vehicles will be on hand.

For those who can’t make it but would like to help: collection barrels are available through December outside each fire station in town.
