Update…and Question for Readers

Dear Readers…Well, I’m back working in a newsroom. Full-time. And commuting to SF. Which means less time to devote to the Spy. Used to spend at least 5 hours a day researching, interviewing and writing…and loving every minute. Have held off making any sort of decision or announcement about the future of the Spy. At this point, I’m thinking about occasional, shorter posts and/or super-short Twitter updates. If you have any ideas…please share in a comment…or shoot me an email.

I like the stories on the downtown businesses and information on what stores will be opening and closing.

  3. Bob Winters says:

I’ve enjoyed the site, post what you can, when you can. Best of luck in your new gig!

Hey Bob….what you said was very helpful. Freeing actually. Cause I really want to continue the Spy…but it will just have to be briefer…and perhaps…a bit more bloggy.

Shoot me an email or comment if you see or hear something that catches your interest…

Congrats on the new job, Deborah! I miss your blog posts! How about inviting guest bloggers to write articles for you? (hint-hint – lol)

    • debramonroe says:

Thanks, Melanie! I think I’m gonna stay true to my original mission…the LSS as a single voice. It may be briefer, etc. but it will be consistent. Not everybody’s cup of tea…but people know what to expect. Debra

  5. Karen says:

Congrats, Debra (but YUCK to the commute!). I’ve enjoyed your articles and hope you will continue to keep this blog open!!!

    • debramonroe says:

Thanks, Karen! Honestly…don’t mind the commute as it involves a drive along the amazing Embarcadero during off-peak times.

  6. Linda says:

I want you to continue the Spy, but just post when you can. You’re a great writer and I really enjoy LSS. Love the hyper-local news. Look forward to your posts when you can find the time.

  7. Will says:

Please keep writing when you can. As a resident and local business owner (not far off of Laurel) I find this interesting.

  8. Kathy Steligo says:

    Hey, Deb,

Good to see you back on the LSS. Being treated and informed by the LSS in short doses is much preferable to not at all!

    Happy multitasking!
