PG&E made robocalls to residents living near Edgewood Road and 280 today, notifying them about natural gas venting set to take place on Tuesday, Sept. 27th and Thursday, Sept. 29th. If you smell the odor of gas in Belmont on Wednesday, September 21st sometime between 7-10am, there’s a perfectly good explanation: PG&E is scheduled to release gas from a pipeline at Ralston Avenue and the I-280, near SR-92. The gas “purging” is necessary for a test on the pipeline.
