Mon Dieu! Cuisinett Restaurant Opens Thursday

The much anticipated Cuisinett French Comfort Food Restaurant officially opens on Thursday…serving lunch and dinner.

When the LSS dropped by to snap a pic, the unflappable owner Geoffroy Raby – 31-year old native of Lille, France – was in the throes of testing dishes and preparing to install some art on the walls, representing six gastronomic regions of his country.

After looking at some skinny French fries that will appear on the chalkboard menu, the LSS is taking bets you won’t care which region they come from, as long as there are seconds.  Raby says there will also be a special dip for the fries. Could this be the second dip craze after Le Boulanger started selling the dill dip wildly popular among high school students?

We stopped by for desert during the Art & Wine Festival on Saturday. We were seated by Geoffroy and had the Creme Brulet and Flourless Chocolate Cake (I’d call it Lava Cake, but that doesn’t sound very French) The food was great and I look forward to another visit.

Bob…Glad you shared your recommendation! We stopped by, too…for a late lunch. Had the Salad Nicoise, served with a seared Ahi-style tuna instead of the usual tinned stuff. Amazing olives. Husband had Parisian sandwich. The tender ham had a delicious smoky flavor. Next time, I’m having the fries!

My wife and daughter stopped by for dinner on Friday. We all had sandwiches and fries. I had the sausage, my wife had the chicken and my daughter had the ham & cheese. All were great and the fries were as good as advertised! They stayed crispy though the entire meal. Geoffroy is such a great host, constantly ensuring all is well. Definitely a winner!

My husband and I had lunch at Cuisinett today and wow! It was fantastic. He had the Coq au Vin with the buttery peas and carrots on the side, and I had the fabulous mussels with frites. We’re definitely going again … not just for the food (which is tops on our list) but also because of the fun, busy atmosphere. Love it!

Sounds delicious! I heard someone else today say she wished Cuisinett had more space because it was so busy. Also heard there was a line for dinner on Saturday.

finally had a chance to go to dinner at Cuisinett this evening. Hubby had poulet coq au vin and I had the poulet provencal. the provencal was a bit salty for me but we ran into Geoffrey (?) as we were leaving and chatted with him. he asked us our opinion of the dishes and I told him about the provencal being a bit salty. I was so surprised at how open he was to our feedback & even said they’re still tweaking it. Definitely his great “customer service” made us feel welcome (he also chatted with us about other stuff). We are definitely going to go back to back AND recommending the restaurant to our friends. ps. pomme frites were fantastic!!
